Thanks a lot for a great project. I have one problem/question – I have all the set up done and for some reason the helmet shows up backwards in the project. Can you tell me what setting will fix that? I didn’t catch it in the tutorial. thanks in advance.
Hi, you most likely opened the 1.6.aep project version and you are using v2.2 of Element. If you are using v2.2 of Element, open the v2 of the AE template project. Helmet will be correct in that one.

Hello facade, I am putting together an end of year highlight film for our football team and I just love the football player head shot. I was wondering is thee any way I can use this without the plug-ins required? I have already purchased this template and would like to use it. Just don’t have the funds to buy the plug ins. I am thinking about purchasing this template because I have to do a end of the year highlight reel for my youth football team. I was wondering is it a way around the whole 3d elements plug in don’t have the money to purchase that plug in but I would love to use this template since it’s the best american football based on on the website

i really need to buy the $200 optical flares plugin? im making an opener for our pop warner football team and doing it for free. but i didnt see that id have to buy andther plugin valued at $200. Can you please inform me if im missing something?
You need to have Element 3D to use the template. That is clearly stated in the template description.
You do not need to have Optical Flares. If you want to extend the time of the template, then Yes, you would need Optical Flares because the template comes with a 6 second preRender of the Flares. Other than that, you only need Element 3D to use the template.

I understand now, just would love it these plugins had a trial period. I dont work in action script that much. thank for your help and if you have any personal suggestions, “OTR” by all means please let me know, im just trying to create something special for our pop warner players. from one creative to another.
Hello, I have mac, cs6 and can not see the elements of the hull or the grass, not to draw from the plugins you mention, I would not want to uninstall it and then install the CS4, is there any way to fix it?

Hey I dont have any object files with my package…. just c4d files… I am curious as to why. this may solve other folks issues if you send out the element 3d obj files…

As to why, ..Element can import the entire shading network of a c4d file, no need to re-setup materials/textures like you have to when importing Objs in Element.
I’m having the same problem as Hanchette1, 3D elements will not show up even with Element V1.6. I was able to create a video last year with ease- I’m not sure if it’s because of all the updates but I’m having much difficulty.

Go back to After Effects 2014. I was having issues with 2015.

You should be able to easily install After Effects 2014 again via creative cloud if you uninstalled or overwrote 2014

Hi there. I purchased this project, but it will not open. I have AFX 2015 with Element V2.2 as well as AFX 2014 with Element V1.6 and it only generates the AFX files. The 3D objects will not show up. It doesn’t matter if I open it in either AFX. Have you seen this before? I have an HP Z820 (64 bit) machine with 16GB of RAM and and 16 cores. Intel Xenon 2.6GHz CPU (E5 2650).
Hi there. Thanks for the purchase. Make sure you extract the zip file. I’ve noticed that sometimes people forget to extract the file, they try to open the file without extracting first, which will lead to this problem. So, right click on the zip file and extract to its own folder. Let me know how that goes. Cheers.
Also, for now, I recommend you stick to using After Effects 2014 with either versio of the Element 3D plugin.

If it isn’t that, make sure to watch the beginning of the video tutorial. With Element 3d files, you have to manually tell Element where that 3d model exists in the directory. I go through that step right in the beginning of the video. Once you link it, you should be golden and see the Element 3d files in AE.

Awesome project! Just purchased it and it looks great. One thing I did notice – don’t forget if you want to extend the time of the camera pause, you also have to move the lower third key frames as well

THIS IS AMAZING. If you’re reading this BUY IT! Facade really put in the time to make a great package that’s easy to work with. I don’t even know what I’m doing and I am able to make it work. Just bought this to do the highlight video for a team I’m coaching this season. I’m just learning After Effects and I’m trying to figure out how to put a video in (ImagePlaceholder.jpg) in lieu of a picture. It’d be awesome if I could have the kids say their name, position and school. Can you offer me any guidance here? Much appreciated.
