Hey there, yes you can do that. You can control the page flipping with commands. Here is an overview about these commands:

So let´s say you want to start with the “open book” animation and after that you want one single page turn. Then you just have to use the “flip 1-2” command, after that you want to flip several pages so use “flip 2-12”. After that you may want to go with several single page flippings so use “flip 12-13, flip 13-14,” before you want to flip back to “flip back 14-10”.
