There is a bug when you try to export with Media Encoder.
Rendering the project directly with After Effects works fine. (from the menu Composition -> Add To Render Queue and in the Output Module settings choose MOV format for example).
After that you can add the rendered video file to Media Encoder and encode it in the format you need.

OK – no response but I did go ahead and buy. Question – how can I remove his tie altogether as you haven’t made this consistent across the different versions. For continuity we should have no tie or the same options at least OR in Bobby DIy Pack I need to add the striped tie

My apologies for the delayed response.
Yes, unfortunately here the tie can’t be removed. The main reason is that it is part of the animation in the beginning (where he put the tie on). So if you remove the tie there should be a different animation as well. But it’s something I could add in the future.

Did you watch the Making_Pauses.mp4 video in the Video_Tutorials folder?
By “it doesn’t work” you mean you’re unable to change the duration of the slide or you experience some other issue?
I’m enable to change the duration and all other slides are totally mixed….
- Open a fresh copy of the project.
- Open the MAIN_With_Placeholder_Pauses composition.
- Delete all Pause comps except the one you are interested in. (let’s say we like a pause on the first board placehodler Pause_02)
- Now select all compositions starting from the MAIN comp at the bottom to the MAIN comp at the top.(the order of selection is important)
- From the menu choose Animation->Keyframe Assistant-> Sequence Layers. Uncheck “Overlap” and click OK.
- That’s it. Now you should have a 30 frames pause on the first board placeholder.
- Remember to render MAIN_With_Placeholder_Pauses.

I love some of the elements in this template – Is it possible to use some of these movements and animations in conjunction with your ‘Bobby – Character Animation DIY Pack’ or are all of these movements already included as part of that DIY Pack?
It would be difficult to combine elements from the both projects, but you’ll be able to create a similar presentation with the DIY pack, because many of the animations are included there.

Not to be a jerk, but Bobby appears to be giving the viewer the “finger” every time he swipes the device in this promotion version. Not sure I would want that in a professional presentation.
He swipes the device with his index finger. Maybe you’ve got this impression because he has only 4 fingers. He still has a middle finger, but he is not using it
Thanks for the clarification. As stated – wasn’t trying to make light of this observation. I appreciate the reply. While I understand the 4 finger concept & not trying to beat a dead horse – when the video opens, it appears Bobby is advancing the slides with an Opposable thumb – in fact if he doesn’t have a thumb, and just 4 fingers he could not “press” the button to advance the slide without using his other hand. Thus the reason for my original question. Admittedly this may be just a case of my having too much time on MY hands (4 fingers + a thumb).

the project was not planed to be modular (unlike Bobby DIY pack for example), but there are still some tricks you can use to achieve what you need.

you can try a standard format like Quicktime MOV and make sure that the composition you’re rendering is in 24 frames per second.

I’m new to After Effects and I’m learning quickly (I think). I need to make more board placeholders.
I’m following your tutorial but noticed that the frame rate in your “more placeholders” tutorial is set at 24 fps and the actual Bobby_Promotes_2 is set at 29.97 fps.
Also, the time frames for the “main01 and main02 only go up to 00899 frames, and according to the tutorial the last setting for the loop is at 00916.
It seems I’m stuck as it stands right now

Basically all compositions should be in 24 fps.
In the beginning of “More_Placeholders” video I create a new MAIN composition. Notice that it’s 24 fps. It’s possible that you’ve created a 29.97 fps comp instead. Just change it to 24fps.

You are correct. When I created the new comp I left it at the default setting, which was 29.97 fps, and the default length was set a 900. All seems to be working fine now.

We need 5 characters at present in all. Two main characters and three supporting ones. The main characters’ function is to lead the course. Main characters include one boy and one girl. The girl is the boy’s girlfriend. She is very smart as well as quiet. She always answers the boy’s questions. The boy is more active. He likes asking questions. So the actions for the boy should be consistent with his character?such as thinking, using his finger pointing something and so on. You can refer to Bobby’s actions when you design the boy. As they are main characters, more actions should be designed for them. Supporting actors include a teacher, a common student and a slow student. Below are the requirements about the teacher: 1-the teacher is male 2-the teacher’ s actions should be easy, for example, to point to the blackboard and several other actions which can be used when a teacher is having a class. Requirements about the common student: only need to design several simple actions like raising hands and answering questions. These actions can be used frequently when a student is having a class. Requirements about the slow student: no need of speaking, only need to design several simple actions like nodding and shaking head or walking. You can refer to the simple and honest dog appeared in the movie “Rio2”
These five characters must be designed with 3D softwares, not restricted to any 3D softwares. The feel of these five characters can refer to “Bobby”.

The sound effects will work properly. But as the project will now become longer you will probably have to touch the music a bit to fit in the new length. I have a video showing how to add more slides. It’s form “Bobby Promotes”, but the same technique works for this project too. If you need it you can contact me via my profile page.

Unfortunately there is no easy way of doing it. If it’s a static content like a picture or text there is a trick for that, but it won’t work for a video.

Why did the creator choose to only provide 720p and no video tutorials with this Bobby Promotes 2 animation? The other Bobby animations are 1080p with video tutorials.

the both projects “Bobby Promotes” and “Bobby Promotes 2“ were initially created in 720p. Recently I’ve updated “Bobby Promotes” to 1080p and I’m going to update “Bobby Promotes 2“ to 1080p in the future as well. Both projects are very easy to customize and include PDF documentations explaining the steps needed to customize the project.
Can you change his name on the name tag? Also, do you have a packae price for promotes1, promotes2 and the images? Thanks
Yes, the name tag is a placeholder you can change the name and logo. I’ve no package price, I’m sorry.
Hi there its a great product but getting upsupported .mov option in ae cs6 ,i have all files in same folder and quicktime latest version installed

You will have to uninstall quicktime and install it again.
Try this:
1.Close After Effects
2.Uninstall Quicktime
3.Restart the computer
4.Download and install the latest version of Quicktime
5.Start After Effects
6.Open the project
I think that should do it. Let me know how it went.
