problem solved, if someone else has this problem, it is caused by the language of the After Effects. For example, mine is in Spanish, so that it works it must be in English.

And another question: I need some of the slides to stay on for 10 seconds or so, to fit the content. I tried to change slide duration to long + edit the composition duration (in the composition settings for this slide) to 350 frames (from 230) + move the markers, but it still doesn’t last long enough. What can I do?

Hi! I am sorry that you are having problems. As far as I know, this error did not exist before. Try clearing the cache. (Edit / Purge / All Memory & Disk Cache…).

Sorry, but nothing really works in this template, when you use it with os x and After Effects CC 2015. The chart’s maker doesn’t react to the settings as shown in the tutorial movies, the Background is always the same, so the Slide’s maker doesn’t make any sense either..
