This is my first attempt at rendering something in AE. I am running AE 5 .5 on a MacBook Pro with 8gb memory. AE is currently reporting a render time of 7 hours and 24 minutes. Is that normal?

Thanks cswalsh I was having the same problem and your solution fixed it perfectly!

I also got the memory allocation error on CS5 and 5.5 on two macs (both have only 4GB RAM ). Try pre-rendering some of the comps in the final Logo1, Logo2, etc. compositions. (just select the composotion and to go pre-render under the comp menu).

Also try rendering the finals in pieces (use the grey work bar to select an area). You’ll need to assemble the pieces when you’re done, but you can probably make it through without crashing.

Please help with this issue: after effects: unable to allocate space for a image buffer after effects: not enough memory to create object or shadow fragment array Can’t get past 3 or 4 frames. Trying to render LogoIntro3

Nevermind… i figured it out. I started disabling some of the layers in the 3D sets and that made the layer “thinner”. Thanks!
