For the animations with placeholders there are “_PLACEHOLDERS” folders containing the placehoder compositions.
For example in _ANIMATIONS->Catch_Text->_PLACEHOLDERS you can add your content for the “Catch Text” animation. Open Placeholder_01 composition, delete the existing layers and add a solid layer with the color you like (this will change the color of the placeholder)
About the font, open the Documentation.pdf file and at the end you’ll see “VI. Font”. There is a link, where you can download the font (or just click here)
Also make sure you watch the videos in the Video_Tutorials folder.

You should rename these compositions before you import Bobby DIY pack. If you rename it afterwards it might stop the error messages, but the expressions are already messed up.
You can test it like this:

• Open a fresh copy of George DIY Kit
• Rename the compositions
• Import a fresh copy of Bobby DIY
• Test different accessories for the both characters

Make sure you rename the “Accessories” and “Character” compositions before importing the project again to avoid expression errors.

You can type text in any language supported in After Effects.

About your first question, unfortunately it’s not possible to scale the bage. It interacts with his body and arms, and scaling it will produce some weird results.

About the speech boxes, there is a trick you can use to add multiple speech boxes with different content.

• Open “Bobby_DIY_Pack” and in the Project Panel go to _ANIMATIONS -> Speech_Bubble and select Speech_Bubble_DEMO composton.
• Go to File -> Reduce Project (this will remove everything except the Speech_Bubble compositions and sources)
• Save the project as “Speech_Bubble” for example.
• Now you can import this file in your project and you’ll get a new speech bubble with new placeholder, and you’ll be able to add different content.

Yes, you can change his body, eyes and teeth color separately to any color you like.

Yes, there are 13 different sound fx included.
You’ll find them in the “SoundFX” folder.

I’m planning to add accessories in “Bobby Promotes” and “Bobby Promotes 2” in the future. But currently it’s not possible to transfer them just using the both AE projects.

I’ve just downloaded it and extracted the zip archive, everything works fine here.
You can try to download it with different browser or try to open the zip file with different archive manager.
It’s a big file, probably something happens during the download.
Let me know how it went.

This happens if you move some of the imported files in a different directory or rename the directory they were in after you’ve saved the project.
You can ignore this message, save the project and reopen it.
Now a “missing files” warring will pop up. Click “OK” and in the Project panel (top left) type “missing” in the search field.
This will list the missing files. Now you can double click the first missing file and navigate to the directory where it is currently. After you choose it AE will find the rest of the files automatically if they are in the same directory.

Hi there, you’ll find the sound effects in the main project directory inside “SoundFX” folder.
These are sound FX from my other Bobby projects (they are not specially made for the DIY pack), but they cover many of the animations.

I don’t think there is an easy way of doing this I’m afraid.
You can use some external program to batch resize all source files (images), but than you’ll have to manually resize almost all compositions in the project and manually fix the problems in areas like the “Tablet”, “Catch_Text” etc. and the accessories and placeholders concerned.
Also have a look at point 9 in the licenses about “on demand”, “made to order” applications if this is what your boss is planing to build.

The projects contain some real world objects like hats, ties etc. And this basically says if the real world object is for example a Mercedes car you might need the permission of Mercedes to use it for commercial purposes as the design of the car is property of Mercedes.
You can see this notice on most app promo projects, because there is a real world object (a phone), but this doesn’t mean that you can’t use them for a client.
