Hi. I can’t remove the background to reveal a video clip beneath. Is there a way to do this?
Check for BG opacity set it to 0 in Inspector or use Apple Motion to turn it off. P.S Thanks for buying and please rate
Thanks. Setting the Opacity to 0 just gives me a grey background, not a translucent one.
Same with turning it off in Motion
Can you send me your email i will sent you the project without background. P.S. Did you render it with the codec that support Alpha channel?

I just purchased this and excited to use it but am having trouble getting it to show up as a generator in FCP 10.3.1 .. my Motion Templates did not have a generators sub directory so I created one and added the folder but it’s not showing up in the generators list when I launch FCP… Any help is greatly appreciated!

~ HOW TO INSTALL THE TEMPLATE ~ This template can be used inside Final Cut X with or without Apple Motion installed.
USE this method if you have Motion installed on your Mac Copy Logo Identity & Logo Identity Square folders to: ~/Movies/Motion Templates/Generators
USE this method if you DO NOT have Motion installed on your Mac Copy Logo Identity & Logo Identity Square folders to: /Applications/Final Cut Pro/Contents/PlugIns/MediaProviders/MotionEffect.fxp/Contents/Resources/Templates/Generators
USE this method if you have BOTH (Fcpx & Motion) installed: Copy Logo Identity & Logo Identity Square folders to: /Movies/Motion Templates/Generators/
P.S. Don’t forget to restart your Final Cut Pro X after installation and check for “Custom” group also under Generator list.

I have a long (not square) logo in png format. I don’t want to use text like the sample “envato.” Is that possible to just have one logo graphic reveal?

Just to clarify for those of you who are struggling to find out why your logo is blue: Click the search icon at the bottom of the layers panel and type “tint” then uncheck the tint filter in the selected layers.

I am using Motion 5.2.3 and I have read your above comments and still cant find where to take the blue tint off or crop my logo to make it fit. please advise, thanks
Find Logo group that is turned off under it there is a tint filter. Also click on the support above and read steps.

Thank you i’m glad you find it, if you need to colorize your logo just turn on Tint layer and select the color from Inspector
Ok, will do. I am having a little bit of problem where it is cropping off the top of my logo. Am I missing a step after I replace the media file?
You need to scale your logo from the Inspector (same group where you find tint layer) Adjust scale and crop values

Hello. I’m having the same problem as an earlier poster … my logo appears blue. I tried following your advice to #wakelite [Scroll down to the “Replace Logo Group” (group is turned off by default) and expand it, then turn off Tint layer] but cannot find any settings for Tint. I’m using Motion 5.2.2. “Replace Logo Here” appears under Linked Objects, but clicking on the group name does not open it. I selected the Logo layer and tried changing color balance settings, but my logo is still blue. What am I missing? Thanks for your help.

Hmm, that’s the same response you posted earlier. I have the Inspector/Media open, replaced the Envato logo with my own logo, and under Linked Objects section I see Group/Name. But when I click to expand, nothing happens. I’m running a new purchased version of Motion 5.2.2. Sorry if I’m missing something obvious, but would appreciate your advice. Thanks.

How can you speed up the whole animation?
Once you finish rendering, put the file in Final cut pro X or Motion and speed the clip for 50%
Just bought the logo but can’t get my logo to fit…both the top and bottom of the logo are cut off…how do you expand to see the whole logo?
Scroll down to Replace Logo Group (group is turned off by default) and expand it. Click on logo layer, then in INSPECTOR > Properties > Crop adjust the Top and Bottom values. Also you can try it with scale, to scale your logo down.
