Hi I just purchased your Blockbuster Title Pack: Explosions for After Effects CS6. Do you have the AEP file(s) of the entire demo or all of the pieces for the demo? I would like to change and use most of the demo. The files in the package are all broken up and do not match the demo (download preview). Would you be able to send me the file(s)? Please let me know
Hi Doug, I just replied to your mail
These explosions are beautiful, but make sure you have a Threadripper Ryzen 5 256 Core 9450 Thread Cpu to render out the behemoth files LMAO
Hey monty, thank you for your purchase
I just rendered the first title on an i9 9900K and it took under 7 minutes to render the animation in 4K resolution. A FullHD Output will be around 2 minutes.
So I’d say an i9 9900K is enough
Right now, After Effects makes better use of higher clock speeds than of more cores, so a few faster cores are preferred to many, slower ones.
If your rendertimes are significantly higher than 20 minutes there must be some bottleneck that I am happy to figure out with you. Kindly drop me a mail via my profile page and let me know your system specs.
Kind regards, Tobi
Wowzer, what a quick response. I regretted the comment as soon as I wrote it. I thought I was rendering 1080 but it was actually 4k. Once I was actually in 1080 it was about 9 minutes, which I can deal with on my antique 4790. Thanks for the response. Like I said, beautiful explosions.
Great, don’t forget to rate the item in your downloads section, please
Hi Monty, I’m not sure why your last comment is not displayed, maybe you got the issue resolved?
I can still see your message from the notification I got so I’m just gonna answer anyway:
The problem you describe is new to me, and this has not been reported by any customer yet. Error messages and crashes during rendering are almost always an individual setup problem, or a problem of the specific After Effects version used. Error messages that files could not be loaded hint at problems with importing the media from the hard drive.
This project has been tested on several computers before being published.
If you are willing to try a render again I will list you some best practices here:
1. Don’t use Adobe Media Encoder, but the After Effects Render Queue.
2. Render to a JPG image sequence instead of a video file. This has the upside that you can continue a render from the last rendered frame. You can convert the image sequence to your media of choice after the render is done in a few seconds with either Media Encoder or After Effects
3. Don’ use the latest After Effects version as I know they have some bugs with interpreting media files. Version 16.0.1 is stable for me, 16.1 has shown problems.
4. If possible, locate all project files and the folder you render to on a fast, local ssd.
Yeah, I deleted it. Been a little bit of a roller coaster. I updated to After Effects 2019 and the whole thing was resolved. I should have known from the beginning that it was an Adobe issue and not you. The project is totally fine now. Thanks again.
