Hi, how many placeholders are there? Is it easy to duplicate them in the main timeline? I need about forty… thanks.
Hi, in AfterEffects, how do I create new scenes? I tried duplicating the placeholder folders as well as the actual files, but if I make changes to the new duplications, the original files mirror those changes.
I just need a lot more than the 9 included scenes. I’m new to AE, so it’s been a bit confusing.
Hi! For duplicate scenes, I use the “TrueCompDublicator” script. Video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LXobfZHEwkf2CFVajK2aeqoA0NdlKLID/view
Thank you so much for including a video! I downloaded that script yesterday, but couldn’t figure out how to get it to work with this template.
Made for you a new video, with a more detailed process of duplication =) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BLHuaRSAh_iXXvQQkqzI6vfmspin-Xj_/view
That’s perfect, thank you!
I was also wondering, would it be possible to add more than one photo per scene? For my project, for the year 1940, we’d like to show two photos without having to create a second scene. Hopefully that makes sense.
Yes, possible just add the second photo to the composition “Palceholer XX” and insert the second photo at the right time.
One last question – I hope
Each scene is around 8 seconds long, but since I’m adding a few photos for one of the scene, I’d like it to be closer to 15 seconds. When I change the duration of the scene, the additional couple of seconds show as either a black screen or just transparent. How can I adjust it so that all of the enclosed layers go to the same duration/end point?
A quick way to increase the duration of the scene is not yet provided, unfortunately. To do this, you will need more advanced knowledge of After Effects, as inside embedded video files that are pre-rendered
No problem, I figured out a workaround. I am noticing something odd though after I duplicated the compositions. Some of the compositions leave a black bar at the top and bottom, which was fine, but now some of them fully cover the screen.
As far as I can tell the composition settings are all the same, so I’m not sure why it’s doing that.
Try to open duplicated composition and inside find compositions or files that also need to increase the duration
I’m not sure what you mean? The durations are all the same, it’s just that some compositions are more narrow than the others. Would I be able to send you an email with screen shots of what I’m seeing?
i just get my purchase and downloaded files and tried it only open in aftereffect but i need to work under premier can you send me the version for adobe premier
HI! Please, watch the video tutorial. It shows how to generate a file for the Premiere Pro via After Effects – MOGRT format
