First of all I can assure you that nothing is wrong with the template and it does not require any plugins, it has been tested in all new AE versions starting from CC2017, and on different computers. This has happened before with a few clients that use Macs, I did a lot of research but I still don’t know exactly the reason behind this issue. Please let me explain how things normally work. This template is made using the C4D renderer that comes with After effects, when you install After Effects you already own that C4D renderer, you don’t have to do anything to enable it, it’s already there and working, but it’s still an external component, everytime you try to use it, After Effects request it through your local server. As i said i still don’t know why it only happens to a few people who use Macs, but i just checked some articles talking about it and they say that sometimes things don’t work properly when there is something wrong in your local network, it could be your firewall or antivirus, or maybe because you’re not using the computer as an administrator, or because you’re using a trial version of After Effects. People say these are the top reasons why this happens. So make sure you’re using the computer as an administrator, also try to turn off your firewall and antivirus if you have one temporarily and see if it works. There must be preventing your After Effects from requesting and using the C4D renderer. Please try these fixes and let me know if any of them works. Some of them fixed the problem for some other clients. One more thing, If you’re working on a project and have to deliver something urgent you can send me your logo and i’ll render it for you on my computer.

Hi, there is an option in the controls that lets you disable the background color, and then you can drop your image or video there to have it appear behind the logo animation. If you still have trouble achieving this let me know and I’ll record a video to show you how it’s done. Thank you for your purchase!

Hi, thank you for your patience! As you may noticed in the description, this template was made to work with vector logos only. But you can contact me through my profile page and send me your logo so i can see what i can do. It needs some customization but it will work with your PNG logo. Best regards.

You can change the thickness of your 3D logo by changing the value of extrusion in the same layer. You can double Tap A on the keyboard to show the geometry options, then move the timeline cursor to the last keyframe and change the extrusion depth value. Thank you for your time and fast response, I deleted and downloaded again After Effects and the template is working just fine. I might have deleted the default After Effect’s renderer by mistake ‘while I was cleaning up some files from my computer. Sorry for this misunderstanding. Regards!

Hi Chris, Sorry the the inconvenience! I’m not sure what’s the problem exactly. You should be able to copy and paste the geometry and material option without issues, but we all know all sorts of weird things happen inside of After effects. So no need to worry, you can Email me through our profile page and i’ll see what i can do to fix this issue. It would help a lot if you could send me a compy of your project to do a quick check.

Hi, i read your message and i just sent you an email. I’m ready to help. This error pops up sometimes when you try to switch a vector logo that has so many details from 2D to 3D. But don’t worry, there’s a quick fix for this.
