Hi Justcamsart, all my projects are updated to the latest versions every year, they are not designed to work with versions of After Effects older than 2020.
Hi! I bought it but couldn’t use it. It says, After Effects: this project must be converted from version 17.7 (Macintosh 64). The original file will be unchanged.

I am currently uploading a version saved using the latest version of After Effects, however it works just fine if it has to be converted to 17.7.

Hello, in the carousel section, when I put an mage in image b (for example) in scene 1, the image b is invisible in the render composition. any issue ?

Hi benoitsozii, currently it’s not set up to change the amount of scenes, I would use another method of transitioning out such as a fade, wipe or pan.

Hey Kain63, thanks for purchasing the kit! The current kit does not have that functionality, however I have updated it so you can change the color of the paper using the master controls in the storybook comp. I have uploaded it to VideoHive, however it will take a bit to get it approved. Please email me at info@legacyproco.com and I can send you the new kit.

Not sure if this is a known bug, but the storybook ending pages y+z seems to replace the images there with two storybook_image_a1 during the closing book animation

Hey Ilei0415, to keep the project file size small, none of the pre-rendered footage contains transparency. However within each page precomp, if you turn off the ‘background_color’ layer, move ‘storybook_rendered’ below ‘storybook_3d_mask.mp4’ and set it to ‘Luma’ this will cut out the background completely.
Hey thank you for your reply. I’m trying to use Carousel comp. However, from the second scene, when I add my own image to “image_b”, in the main stage it rotates in the wrong way. I’m confused because all the examples in “image_a” rotates correctly. Could you help me with this issue?

Hi Amanitus, that question varies depending on which of the 8 storybook templates you want to use. Generally you have a ton of control over the duration, such as with the popup and scrapbook templates. Others such as the storybook or carousel, that have a prerendered ‘flipping page’ motion these use chunks of time that vary in length. The storybook for example allows you to add or remove chunks of 27 seconds (13.5 seconds on each page) however this can be sped up using time remapping. Hope this helps! Can we easily remove or add pages to stories?
Hey Nushret, in the Storybook comp, you are provided with 8 pages by default, however you can make it as small as 4 or as many as 26, but they must be in sets of two.
So for the storybook template which I am most interested in, can I just remain in the storybook setting without the 3d move, and just turn the pages as a I go?
Hey LGAADV, as the kit stands now, the 3D move is built in to the scene, but I am working on stationary version of storybook that allows you to turn the pages when you want.
I love the project! I’m currently using the Pinwheel project for my stories but I want to change the colors of the circular dials at the bottom. Do you know how I can independently change the colors of the dials easily? Let me know. Thank you for creating and sharing this project!
Hey abrpatel, thank you! To change the dial colors, within the Pinwheel comp, the top layer called ‘master controls’ has color controls under ‘Pinwheel Color Controls.’ Hope this answers your question!

A YouTube series that releases an episode every week (52 total) would only need to purchase a license once every year < So, I need to buy once a year for my youtube channel?

Hey Mista. I’ve just purchased your artwork! As I try to open it, I got this message ‘aegp plugin cineware scenelayer no cinema 4d installation was found’ Do you have any idea? Do I need ‘cinema 4d’ to use yours?
Some of the storybook scenes use Cinema4D if you want to start really modifying things, however everything has been pre-rendered already so you do not need Cinema4D to use the kit. If the error message is annoying I can send you a kit with the Cinema4D functionality stripped out.

Actually it may be simpler than I thought. In the assets folder you’ll see a folder labelled ‘3d_models.’ Just delete that folder and reload the project and let me know that solves the issue.
Yes, it works. But I also found out my A.E doesn’t have ‘cinema4d’ I will figure out what is going on and then will use your completed one later on Thank you for your help.

Im so sorry for bothering you again. I’ve re-installed A.E and have no problem at all. Just one thing. The speed. I lowered the resolution ‘quarter’ but it spends about 50gigabyte memory. Thu, it is tooo slow to work on it. Is there anyway to lighten A.E so I can work faster? AMD Ryzen 9 5900X / 64 Memory / Geforce 1070ti.
Hey Unity, no one has ever reported this as a problem, so i’m not sure what the remedy is. Which part of the kit are you trying to use? Perhaps I could send you a version of the kit with just that scene (eg. popup book, carousel, etc.)
For people who might concern, it wasn’t ‘KIT’ problem but was my computer problem. So, do not worry to purchase this amazing kit.
No worries, I can always customize versions of the kit to increase its overall performance.

I’m actually planning on combining two of the canvases. Using the storybook beginning and ending sequence and the pin wheel for the middle of the story. Do you know how I could combine them? Also looking to add more pages to the pinwheel framework as I plan to add more scenes using it. Planning on adding around 26 scenes total for a single episode. You have done an incredible job with this framework! Thank you for creating and sharing it!
Hey abrpatel appreciate you making great use of the kit!
I have modified the kit to give you the ability to add up to 24 different storybook pages that you can add or remove in sets of two. I am currently prerendering these sequences out to speed up the exporting process and will update the kit on Envato tomorrow afternoon.
In terms of combining different scene types, the kit is not built for that type of functionality. My recommendation is to render out your scenes separately and splice them together in another composition.
The pinwheel cannot be modified lengthwise as it is built currently. For that I recommend importing the kit into another kit so you have two independent comps to work from, giving you more time to work with. A simple crossfade or other transition effect between them would give you a nice final product.

Hi enterprisetraining, thats a tough question to answer. Yes, it is perfectly possible to bring anything you want into the different storybook scenes, text, images, video, etc. If you wanted to ‘pause’ the timeline thats a little bit trickier. It’s easy to do so long as you have some After Effects experience, however there isnt currently any switches or controls to pause any of the scenes, something I will certainly try ti implement into the next version. Hope this helps!

Hello, I’m receiving a “keylight out of memory 4 25 241” error while previewing. I have 24gb of memory. Have you run into this error with this project or do you have any tips on reducing AE memory needs while previewing? Thank you.

K, let me know. From my research it looks like it has something to do with keylight sucking up all the memory by caching frames. 24GB should be more than plenty.

I have updated the kit and it has been approved. You can find controls for ‘background_color’ on the ‘master controls’ layer.
tu use “Storybook Scenes / Popup Book Kit”, After Effects application must to be in English, or is it OK to use it in French ?
