The answer is yes ! Even if VoluMax 6 was designed to animate pictures you can have very good results on static videos and give the impression the camera is moving. Just keep in mind that the render times will be longer on animations & videos than on a picture because AE has to recalculate the whole 3D effect at each frame.

The working process is exactly the same. The best example is to use VoluMax 6 on landscape timelapses to give this extra 3D effect to your work for impressive results.

The maximum limit is one minute of 3d animation in VoluMax for one picture, but that duration makes no sense in reality because it’s too long for the 3d effect to be visible. (Like in reality) Generally 3 to 10 sec is great to have a nice 3d movement, but you can make it longer

That doesn’t mean it will not work, it will not be fast but it will be possible to get nice results with more patience. For VoluMax be sure to always be in 1/4 Quality (or even lower) in viewport and activate special effects like 3D Particles, Flares… only once you are happy with your animation, just before exporting.

By the way I recently saw VoluMax 6 run on a M1 MacBook and it runs like a charm, impressive work done by Apple with that processor.
