i have problem with color control when i change it to red it changed to red but in the info box comp there is a totaly defernt color ,help please

Can you explain me how th Lower Third works please ? I would like to make a transparent Lower Third and put it on my video, but when a open the comp, i only have the placeholder.
If i hide it, i have a black screen during the lower third animation.
