Is there a way to reduce the back and forth movement in the Camera expression layer? When I have a 3D text layer i find the camera moves in and out too much so that’s it’s hard to read [e.g over 5-10 seconds]?

I went into camera expression and in Transform I lowered the wiggle amount [0.1,1] but some 3d text layers are much more still others move in and out too much. seedRandom(0); if (thisComp.layer(“CameraControl”).effect(“Map_Camera_Control”)(“Map_Camera_Control-0005”)==0) {value} else {wiggle(0.1,1);}

Hello Yarko, Loving the look of this, however when I open the plugin window inside AE I get the following error : “Unable to execute script at line 5. Null is not an Object”
If I click OK I’m left with an empty window.

I just bought your awesome Infographics kit but I’m struggling with the Optical Fares & the Custom Color. Probably something stupid… So first of all, I can’t find the ‘Optical Flare’ option. You can’t see it in the tutorial video neither. I can see you go in the “Effect’ section but the rest is hidden in the video. I guess you select the Utility section afterwards? And after that? I tried all the options there but none gives me the Optical Flares. And in the Custom Color I can only change the color of the Worldfill. Changing the colors of the other options (Background, Crossgrid,...) doesn’t work…

I’m still getting an error in AE that objects are not found. 1. I tried to go to the “run scripts” but ae doesn’t see the script. I see the script under windows explorer. 2. I do see the script under AE window. I run it (as an administrator)and I restart AE. 3. In AE I’m seeing Missing: Map Maker
Any ideas as to what I’m doing wrong?
Have you tried to install the script in automatic or manual mode?

Step one is to install .jsxbin into the ScriptUI Panels folder. I’m using CC and don’t see that folder.

Try to install pseudo-effects manually.
Close AE
Open the file PresetEffects.xml using Notepad or any other text editor.
Default location of the PresetEffects.xml file on PC Adobe\Adobe After Effects CSx\Support Files\PresetEffects.xml
Default location of the PresetEffects.xml file on Mac: /Applications/Adobe After Effects CSx/ (Show Package Contents) /Resources/PresetEffects.xml
Scroll down to the end, and right above last </Effects> paste the code from this file. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/13338350/to_xml.txt
Save and close PresetEffects.xml

just purchased the package, and seem to be having some difficulties. It works wonderfully, but I cannot get the 3D lines to work or even appear. 1st step in your tutorial, window>Infomapkit… there is no option for this under window in AE for me. I can access everything except for this option… Thoughts?
Please install the script .(See the manual at page 2)
1. Place script InfoMapKit.jsxbin into the “ScriptUI Panels” folder within your After Effects.
Windows: After Effects CSx\Support Files\Scripts\Script UI Panels Mac: After Effects CSx/Scripts/Script UI Panels
2. Start Adobe After Effects
3. It is important that you allow the scripts to read from and write to disk.
To allow scripts to write and read files , choose Edit > Preferences > General (Windows)
or After Effects > Preferences > General (Mac OS)
and select the Allow Scripts To Write Files And Access Network option.
Note for Windows users
If you run into any problems try Right-clicking on the application and choosing “Run as administrator” option, even if you are logged it as Administrator.
4. From the Window menu, select InfoMapKit.jsxbin
5. At the first start,script will perform an automated install necessary pseudo-effects.To apply changes, you should restart the After Effects.
6. Now you can start using Infographics Map Kit.
I don’t follow. ScriptUI Panels Folder? Where is this located within the actual program interface, or control panel etc? I am on windows

Try start infomapkit script from AE menu (file – run script) .
No that did not work either…? why are the ripples and area selectors so tiny.. they are unuseable. you cannot change scale because quality is so poor…
also after all of the hoop jumping, I STILL get error messages when I start after effects… missing element.. whats going on with this package? nothing but problems

I am new to After Effects and Video Hive. I downloaded your project and was wondering where I might find some good tutorials for editing it? I noticed that other projects are quite simple to replace text, etc. whereas this project seems a bit more complex (at least for me). Any suggested tutorials would be much appreciated!
