Yes, you can open the project in cs5.
does it work for cs5
Thanks for rating!:)
I’m glad you have found the tutorial, mvav.:) Feel free to e-mail me any time if you have any questions. Jo
Thank you graphic4444 and thank you all for your comments. Your support is really appreciated and help me to improve my work on videohive. The pre-rendered backgrounds are made in Cinema 4d and composited in After Effects. In the future, I’ll try to break pre-renders into more sources and upload more files without pre-rendered files.
Thanks again
Jo
ah i unzipped it into a folder with other stuff in it. I didnt notice the .flv til graphic4444 said it unzips to the root. Sorry for the error there on my part.
Overall it’s a very good file, I got it because of the customizable lower third, it’s the best one I’ve ever seen, that’s as close as possible to a professional news tv station one, so it’s worth it to get it for that part alone. I emailed the author (thx!) who answered promptly regarding my inquiry as to confirming that the lower third is fully customizable, which it is (I just checked in ae). Very very well done.
having said that, I do agree w/buyer above that it would be better to have customizable background layers for globe elements too; I really hope to continue discouraging the use of prerendered elements in these projects, as many of us need to be able to use separate layers. At a minimum, like the buyer said above, if there are prerendered elements at least let’s get multiple alpha-rendered movs or whatever so that we can choose which layers to use, as a design guideline, vs static pngs as is the case for the globe in this project. Prerendered elements are not good for many reasons, if there’s any way at all to do it natively from within AE (or, at least break prerenders into a lot of source alpha movs for better customizability.) we as buyers would appreciate it…
Overall an excellent file, the lower 1/3rd is why I got it, because it’s exceptionally well done – thanks for a good job! (there is a tutorial.flv, well done, 80megs, unzips into root).
Hello Mvav,
Thanks for buying my project!
In the collect file it has to be the tutorial.flv file with instructions. I can’t figured out why you don’t have it, but if you give me your e-mail i can send it to you, along with other details about my project.
Thanks, Jo
Very nice project really well made. But i have a few things to point out and a question.
i bought this and i am noticing the step by step video is missing and there is only the text log from the project of a collect files output. I don’t really need the video or text file but you mentioned them in the description so just wanted you to know they are missing.
I loaded it up and its missing a very key thing for me to use this as is.
The background with the looping earth and most of the lines is not customizable. I was hoping to remove the detail on the earth and put a logo in it using cc sphere. But its all precomposed into a video not editable. Is there any way you may be able to break that background video apart? If not i will have to totally redesign a whole new background and any place the earth is used.
The files are background_globe.mov and background.mov
It wouldn’t be so much of a big thing but the video is used in so many places and layered a ton of times in other places. Its a great bit of footage but i just wish it was customizable.
Great job on the rest of the file. Its well organized and simple to figure out.
