I was wondering if you can limit how far the map zooms out into the sky? Essentially what I want to do is show a road journey from two towns in the United Kingdom. So wouldn’t want it to zoom too far out (just so the UK was still filling the screen). Is this possible?

By the way, i hope that you are not talking about After Effects by application. Because this is an After Effects template project, you can use it in After Effects.
i want to make a zoom from Los Angeles to Shanghai, but theres always a ugly cut on cloud texture. Is it possible to rotate clouds a little or something? I tried in comp CLOUD_SPHERE, but if I do that, clouds will not move.

Hello Nibloprice. Yes you can disable it. from main comp, select WORLD_MAP_EDIT_ANIMATION layer, from effects control you will see a slider control, remove its keyframe and write slider 0.

I’m using the previous version, I’m trying to figure out a way to not rotate the text. It’s too hard to read as it zooms and turns, especially with the blur added. But I would like to keep the zoom at least. is there any way to do this?
Yes, there is a way to do this but a bit advanced level solution. If inside the text edit comp, you rotate the text the exact opposite side of main comp rotation, it will keep static. If you couldn’t solve, please send me an email from my profile page, i will help you.

awesome. it’s a great looking project. love the detail and the clouds… i bought the project and dropped the slider control keyframes in the final composition (WORLD_MAP_EDIT_ANIMATION layer) from 25 down to 2—which fits for my needs over here… but i’m getting the same RAM error mentioned above. have you found a workaround? can i “pre-shrink” it in after effects? i’m trying to zoom into x:69.8 y:-46… thanks for your help on this!
also—i’m removing the fade out layer so it doesn’t fade out at the end…

I am looking to make a screensaver/intro for a project. I need the earth to just spin slowly when no one is using the kiosk and then begin zooming when it is tapped. Is there some way to make the earth simply spin with this?
yes, i can send you its spin loop project, but when it comes to zoom it skips to your zoom first frame. it wont work properly if you use just video file as a screensaver

Did you find a way to solve that ? (I already tried to enable disk cache at 100 go …)
Hello Benjamin, It looks like it is a GPU problem. If you have a low memory and non GPU video card, it gives some problems. If you need a render please contact me from my profile, I can render it for you..

Yes, in Macs unfortunately video cards are on board and very low features. HD 3000 is too low for rendering that size big texture and project.

Oh man, I wish I read the comments a bit earlier 
I purchased this project to use it for a part of visuals for a dance gala show, and discovered the same issue as few others:

hello, i really like the earth zoom, but the bad thing is the end: it ends in white. I would like to end it on the place to which i zoom. i tried to change the animation in this way for example by turning off the “fade out”. but i don’t find out where i could make, that the place where i zoom to will be sharp at the end. is this possibel to do this with yout animation? how could i do it? thanks a lot! redards, jelena

yes it is really very simple, when i open it there is a message of error like “you cannot move the zoom” and this is true because i can’t, the black circle of the zoom remains centered in the central africa, while i want to zoom to the city of varese, italy. can you send me the project already zoomed in varese? maybe you can make me happy by sending me via filemail. thank you my friend
