Awesome work, I’m sure it’s been a long time !! you are well done!
Is this template still available for purchase using adobe after effects 2017?
Yes, the template was created in AE CS5.5 and it can be used with any other version that is newer. That includes CC 2017.
Thank You!
Awesome… Thanks! Last question, can I add my own video footage to background?
Yes, inside the project you’ll find a folder called “Backgrounds”. There you have 4 Pre-Comps that you can replace with footage, or with any other element that you might have (typography, images, etc).
Awesome… thanks!
I’m having issues with the brush effects. I have downloaded the script correctly and the brush effects are not display properly. They all have box edges instead of the splash edges… I had spent quite a lot of time trying to fix it even replacing them by uploading the original brush file… please advice
The brushes and pretty much everything is going to look like they have “box edges” while you’re working on the project (while you’re customizing it). The reason is because the preview resolution is set to half or third quality in order for you to work faster. This can be changed by setting the Composition window to work at full resolution, but I would not suggest it since is gonna be very hard to edit the project. This is how editing in After Effects usually works. Once you render the template everything should look exactly as shown on the preview. Remember however to set the ‘Render Settings:’ to ‘Best Settings’ when you render your final video. In that way you’ll render at full quality.
Especially for After Effects beginners, I always advise to check out the tutorial that is included in the help folder. It can guide you through customizing the template and understand how everything is organized.
I also remember that you asked about wanting to replace the background with your own. If that’s the case and you are still noticing some of the old, original background brushes showing (if that’s what you mean by “box edges”) then make sure to have turned off every layer that you don’t need. Also check for the ‘Shy Switch’. It’s the forth button after the search bar above the composition layers. Press it to reveal all layers, so you can see what you want to keep and what you want to hide.
Thank you!
Thanks for the reply… I did watch help video after downloading the project. The resolution was indeed set to “third” so I had set it to “full” just to see if that would change things but the brush strokes still has box edges instead of the paint splash effect. Everything else is fine other than the brush effects.
In that case I apologize for the long explanation, maybe I didn’t understand the question.
The brushes that you have on the template are exactly the same as the one’s on the preview. So there is no splash effect, the project doesn’t have that kind of feel, as you can see on the video. You can only achieve what you actually see on the preview. By that I mean there are no hidden options or additional looks.
If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask, I’m always happy to help.
Thank you!
My apologies… maybe I didn’t explain myself correctly. The brush strokes does not look like the brush strokes from the demo. They have more of a square rectangle shape instead of the jagged splashy edges. Is there a way for me to send you a screen shot of what I see?
Yes of course. I just replied to your earlier email question. Check your inbox, you can send me the screenshots there.
Thank you!
