Just purchased and don’t see an after effects file. Only movies and illustrator files. Is this incomplete?
Hello working with after effects. I’ve purchased and downloaded the files on my pc. I’m not sure what file I should add the ae extension. I see Illustrator and movie files.

Hi, first thanks for buying my stuff.
If you don’t have the trapcode plugs it is simple. You have 2 projects in the zip file you downloaded, one with plug required and one with no plugs required.
So choose the one which is named “ParticleDephaz_NoPlugIn_Needed” and open it.
And don’t forget to add the .ae extension at the end of the name of the file if you are working on a PC.

Okay can you explain to me step by step on how to use it on a PC I usually just buy files and they are ready to go. Sorry.
As I told you, the only problem you have is to fix the two files I told you before by adding at the end of the name of the file the extension .aep.
To resume :
- first step, decompress the zip file you have downloaded. - then in the folder you will have, find the two files named “ParticleDephaz_NoPlugIn_Needed” and “ParticleDephaz_PlugIn_Needed” and rename it in “ParticleDephaz_NoPlugIn_Needed.aep” and “ParticleDephaz_PlugIn_Needed.aep”. - open one of the file (if you have or not the trapcode plug-in particular, choose the good one) and that’s it, it should work.
Im new to AE so I have a few questions about Particle Dephaz. I would like to know if it will give me some kind of code to place this on my site or will it save as a movie file?
Can I use CS5 to create it?

This is an after-effects file, so what you can have at the end of the process will be a movie file.
And yes you can use after effects CS5 to work on it, it has been created in CS3 for those who don’t have CS5 or CS4 version.
The only thing you have to take care about is to use an english version of after-effects that can be CS3 , CS4 or CS5 . The english is important because there are some expressions used in there.

If you are working on a PC you have to put the extension .aep after de-zip the file at the end of the name of the two files named “ParticleDephaz_PlugIn_Needed” and “ParticleDephaz_NoPlugIn_Needed”. The project have been done on a Mac.
Is it possible to remove those black MEDIA PLACE HOLDERS ? I just want to leave all those lines and particles 
Of course, you only have to hide “the eye” of each pre-comp corresponding to the black placeholder in the principal composition.

There is no AE file in the zip download.
Are you working on PC or on Mac ? If You work on PC, you have to put the extension .aep after the files that are named “ParticleDephaz_NoPlugIn_Needed” and “ParticleDephaz_PlugIn_Needed”. Sorry for the desagrement, but I”me working on Mac so It the extensions are always hidden.
