Hello! I just purchased this an am excited to work with it, but am quickly halted! Is there any reason I would have trouble viewing the project file on a windows version cs4 or cs5? Besides the titanium font being missing, the background images and text are just solid color blocks, and even after changing the font the tagline text is invisible. Is the project file not meant to look exactly like the sample envato logo in the preview? Thanks for any help you can offer!
Hi there,
Thanks for the purchase! The issue you’re having is due to broken links to the files that came with the project.
Locate the missing files and re-link them inside of After Effects.
Also, the Titillium font can be downloaded for free at fontsquirrel.com.
Thanks again!

Hi,
I am new to After Effects and was following your tutorial but I was wondering how to change my own logo in as you only did the tagline
Thanks
Hi there,
Thanks for your purchase. All you have to do is import the logo file that you want to use, and replace it in the composition that currently contains the Envato logo. That’s it!
Thanks again.

I’d squeeze more RAM into it if I could, but that machine is maxed out. I need to bite the bullet and get a new computer altogether. Thanks again!
I totally understand. Just for a point of reference, I bought the 6-Core 3.33GHz Mac Pro w/16 GB of RAM back in September, and this animation (the 1080 version) renders in about 2.5 hours.
I worked on a G5 Quad for about 4 years, so the increase in speed is phenomenal!
Gorgeous! However, I’d like to chime in with my rendering results for my older Mac. I’m on a PowerMac G5 Dual 2 GhZ with 4 GB RAM . When this beast finishes rendering, it will have taken approximately SIX DAYS ! I can afford the wait on the render, and did not want to sacrifice any of the quality, so I didn’t adjust anything to speed up the render time. Just wanted to give the heads up for anyone else using an older machine. For me, the beauty of the animation is worth the wait.
Some more RAM would speed up your render times, but I’m glad you were finally able to see the final result and I’m very happy that you are pleased with the results.
The render times have surprised some folks who purchase the project, but sometimes the extra render time is worth the professional look
Thanks for your insight, I appreciate the feedback!
The effect is great but do you have any idea why its taking 30+ hours to render? Any ideas on how to reduce the time?
Hi there, thanks for your purchase.
In the comments section are various recommendations from myself and other users who have found ways to decrease render time.
The effects used in Elegant Extrusion are very intensive, and there are unfortunately no perfect ways to speed up the render times.
Some things you can try are rendering at a lower resolution, or turning off “depth of field” in the camera layers.
Also, the power of your computer will greatly determine how long the render takes.
Good luck and thanks again!
Nice, but I have some problem that color of logo is black and white. you suggested earlier in this thread about ramp-effect. Should I remove this effect? Or should ramp-effect be overlay? (it´s normal now)
Also have one background on my logo wich just make the output as a square when using this project file.
Hi there, thanks for your purchase.
Yes, to remove the black and white color, you’ll have to disable the Ramp effect within the main logo comp.
And if your logo does not contain an alpha channel (i.e. if it is not cut out from its background), the logo will render in a block.
high proffesional level, super!
Thank you!
Cool opener.
With which settings can i export the movie in best quality? My loslessversion to avi has not good quality in the dark background.
thanks in forward, j
AVI is typically a compressed format, which produces a lower quality file. Try rendering a Quicktime with the Animation codec. That’s a lossless format, meaning you’ll create the best quality file. Just remember this creates a much larger file size.
Many Sales 333 nice number
Good Luck
Thanks Nefos! I’ve been very lucky with this project!
Says this is $12 but was charged $14- not cool…..
Sorry for your disappointment. Any time you purchase a marketplace item without using pre-desposited credits, you’re charged and additional $2. It says so below the price of each item throughout Envato’s marketplaces.
Also, the authors here don’t set the prices. Envato does.
Thanks for your purchase.
Thanks for your feedback motionrevolver. I ended up finding a much better way to render this project. I wanted to keep the 1080 HD Resolution and I also wanted to keep DOF as it is one of the reasons the final product looked so great.
I ended up rendering this project as a JPG Sequence and rendered them in sections. Such as 1-3 seconds 3-6 seconds and so on. I found this an easier way to do it – as it would have taken me something like 40 hours to render the project as a Quicktime – H.24 Movie.
By rendering it as a JPG Sequence I was able to render different sections on 2 different PC’s and pop all the images together at the end.
Wow thank you for the awesome recap! I’m glad you were able to reduce the render time, and I’m sure future users will find this post extremely helpful.
Thanks again!
Hi Guy,
Can I upload my logo to render it, cause my computer is an iMac and its not handling the rendering.
I bought it earlier but I can not use it
please send me a message to kiannabavi@me.com
thanks
.
Hi there, thanks for such a great project. I was a little shocked when I first started rendering, after an hour I realised my estimated time left is jumping from 14-21 hours remaining!
Are there any tips to maximise render times, and get 100% from the performance settings? I’m currently only rendering 57% of my RAM when I had already changed my settings to 100% in the performance settings before starting the render.
Hi there, thanks for your purchase!
There are several tips from myself and other users throughout the product’s comment section that might speed up your render, such as turning depth of field off, and rendering at a lower resolution, if possible.
The best thing you can do is render at a lower resolution. For example if you’re trying to render the 1080 comp, but only really need a size of 960×540, try rendering the 1080 comp at half resolution, which usually cuts the render time in half.
Unfortunately there just isn’t a more efficient way to get such a professional 3D look in AE. There are hundreds of layers along with a very large background graphic to show the depth of field. Sometimes it just takes quite a bit longer to achieve the desired effect
I’m in the process of working on an “Elegant Extrusion 2”, which will hopefully have better render times.
Thanks again for your purchase, and I’m glad you like the file!
Hi, in your description says it works with CS5 “Works with After Effects CS3 , CS4 and CS5 !” so i buy it but when i download the file and open the file inmediatly appears an error message about some layers cant find, and an effect called tint ..
then when i try to open the comp called eleganextrusion hd1080 appears a bunch of errors about an error at line 1 and the tint effect
can you help me please ?
Hi there, thanks for your purchase.
The missing files are located in the “(Footage)” folder, which you’ll have to navigate to in the files that came included in the ZIP . You can re-link the files manually within AE.
As far as the error goes, I’m not sure what the issue would be. Are you using an English version of AE, or a different language? If there are expressions used in the tint effect, the languages might be effecting the function.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to email me directly at tyson (at) motionrevolver.com.
this the messages that comes out when I open the folder ” After effects: this project must be converted from version 8.0.2 ( Macintosh Intel) and will open as an untitled project . pls helpp
It’s just a message telling you that the project was created in CS3 , and you’re opening it in a newer version of AE.
It’s not an error, just click OK and save the file with whatever name you want.
hi I have AE cs4 for windows 7 and have some problems with some file the looks like the can’t be read on my computer .
Do you mean you’re missing files? You’ll have to manually relink them in AE. The files you’re missing are located in the “(Footage)” folder that came in the ZIP file.
If you have further questions feel free to email me directly at tyson (at) motionrevolver.com.
Thanks for your purchase!
Eeek, wish I’d read the comms before buying it. 24 minutes to render 10 frames at the lowest resolution!!!
Hi MotionRevolver, I like this movie. Just wondering how much time to render this project. My Computer is iMac std 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with only 4 GB RAM . Thanks for reply.
Hi vtobing,
Thanks for your interest in the project. I couldn’t give you an exact amount of time, but I’ve gotten feedback from other users who have reported varying amounts of time from 4 hours to 16 hours.
I use a 3.33GHz 6-Core Mac Pro w/16GB RAM , and the 1080 resolution takes about 3.5 hours to render for me.
Regards,
Tyson Motion Revolver
Although this project did take 15 hours to render on my iMac w/I5 processor, it was worth every minute!!! For $12, I have the ability to get the look of a true 3D logo! Well done! Clients are very happy too. My advice to new buyers is to try to do all of your logo tweaking before you render (i modified the logo comp quite a bit to make some of my logo in color and some in chrome with very good results) and then leave the depth of field on if you can. Results are very slick! I am thoroughly satisfied and strongly recommend if you have an extra day to render. Thanks for this great contribution to Videohive!
I’m glad you like the file and I appreciate the awesome review! Thanks for providing some valuable advice to future buyers as well.
Thanks again!

Not sure why…. but I bought the file and opened it in CS4 and does not show any of the files… gives me like a rainbow placement like if the files such as the evato logo and background supposed to be their but its not…. please help…
The files you are missing are located in the “(footage)” folder that came in the ZIP file. You’ll have to manually relink them inside of After Effects. You can consult the help file inside of AE or go to the adobe website for details on how to replace footage if you need further assistance.
Thanks for your purchase!
